getting tuned in an hour
Yeah, i mean, it's been 3 hours since you posted...we should see dyno's already!

well im very upset to say the least....got the car up on the dyno for the baseline run and the car would get up to 4600 rpm then the rpms would go down..now my question is why did it do this and how can it be corrected, he did the pull from 3rd gear the first run then tried it from 2nd and it went up to the same rpm's but just stayed there, so we didnt get any numbers but i had him change the shift points for all gears, raise the rev limiter in neutral and thats about it, he said he used hp tuners so idk what the problem was/could be

My guess is if the car winds out when you drive it that his dyno load is to blame.

Yeah I was there too, it was very odd. the guy would get on it and the engine would load up and just slowly start taching down. It was as if maybe the computer systems in the car were pissed off about being up on the dyno or somthing. like not all wheels moving.....It sounds retarded I know...

I've heard of this happening to some vehicles on the dyno. There is a possibility that TCS is either retarding timing or closing the throttle because just the front wheels are turning.
Next time you go, consider having the tuner temporarily disable TCS in the tune like so:
May as well disable TCS using the button as well.
If it revs on the street where all wheels are turning, but not on the dyno, it's gotta be something related to TCS. Did your tuner look for any DTCs?

That sounds odd, almost like something in the computer wasn't allowing it to go any further. I'm sure you turned off traction control while it was on the dyno, that could have something to do with it. How did it seem to feel once you got it on the road? I might be doing this at some point in the future as well.

once i hit the road the car was fine, and im not sure if he was doing any logging while on it..at first he said the computer wasnt reading the tune so he had to do it one more time and he tried another run this time in 2nd gear and it held 4600 but wouldnt budge any higher, tcs was off but ill probably go back to him and tell him to disable those programs and see if we can get anything different out of it..anyone here dynoed over 300 at the wheels with these mods?

stock is about 235 at the wheels, and with the canned diablo tune, it's up to around 248...
exhaust and CAI may add another 8-10 in reality, but that's about it.
so you'd be looking at around 258-ish at the most.

To get 300 at the wheels, you would need an overall HP of ~360+. Your front wheels is always about 80 % of your TOTAL HP of your car. So if we have 303 total HP, that is at the crank, so you would only be putting down between ~240hp at the wheels.
