found out today....

that if you set the e brake and hit the gas you get smoke through the vents in the car.

Don't have to set the e-brake to accomplish that.

I gave up on burn-outs after the first summer - tires are too expensive to use up 500 miles of wear per burn-out.

That's why I bought my 20's I wasted the factory and a set of BF Goodrich last summer. No more burnouts for me either. Tires get a little hefty buying a couple sets a year just to see smoke.

I get deals on tires, I checked on a set of Kumos that i can get for 70.00 ea. so for you old people that have these cars and dont like burnouts any more, I feel bad for you. lol! Nothing makes me more giddy that a smokey burn out.

just stiring a little, no harm ment. Im starting to feel it know w a 2 and 5 yr old and the daycare fees. Thats why I bought my SS to sell the vette since it only has 2 seats and is not very practical either but I still love the c5 but some time thing have to be done.

I did a nasty burnout in the middle of the summer with the e-Brake partially applied and A/C on, vents open. The car smelled like rubber for a week, and so did my clothes. It was fun, but you learn some things when you do dumb chit like that

I made the HUGE mistake of doing that at the track. Normally I'm pretty good with remembering to shut down the HVAC but not this time... I'm doing like a pro comp burnout in the box and the the inside of the car fills up with so much smoke I couldn't see the tree let alone anything else. I shut down the HVAC but it was too late the smoke came pouring in. I was running next to my buddy and when I got down at the end of the track I had both my windows open with my hands waving out like I was in a burning building, I almost like died in there! My buddy was laughing at me, he shouted I'll get the hose and the ladder!
