I'm getting mine in a couple weeks. It's the best looking one and looks like a true cold air intake. JMO

The only problem is that with our cars, there isnt really a "TRUE" spot for cold/fresh air to come in on the sides. On the older W-bodies, 2000-2005, there was a bigger spot on the driver fender wall, now on the 06-present, its not there.

NO, the size of the motor has nothing to do with the cutouts on the body. They just didnt use the same cutouts as the 00-05 models, trust me ive owned 2 of them.
Also, the coolant overflow is now on the driver side, not the pass side, so that is taking up the space aswell...

Hmm, I wonder why they would know nothing of it? Mine is definately genuine, came with the SLP product letter and customer appreciation letter. I've been away from home for the past weekend (Easter) and my car goes in the shop today for a moonroof install so when I get it back I will post pics of the intake and letters to show authenticity.

Per Joey at SLP, and also the manager. THERE IS NO SPONSOR program and there is NO CAI FOR THE LS4 cars. They will not be going down this road with LS4 cars. So, I would like to see some pics. Im sorry, but I would believe SLP over anyone untill proven otherwise.
Oh, and if you need SLP's phone number here it is:

I thought about doing the Wizair, but the problem because the TCM/ECM location since that was designed for the PCM only. Also, since the coolant overflow is over on that side aswell, it makes it tough to fit the 00-05 CAI when that is in the way.

ok, so I never said as CAI...as we all know, it's hard to get a TRUE CAI in our cars unless you fabricate one.
It is an INTAKE (regular intake, not to get Taz panties in a wad) from SLP as it has the SLP logo on it, accompanied with a letter from SLP with the SLP logo on it, ordered from SLP. As I said before, I will post pics when I get the car back, so I would advise not calling bs as I will have to tell you to insert foot into mouth as soon as pics are posted.

It's because it actually isnt out yet ! Set to release to the public in mid summer I believe
I ordered it through an SLP sponsor program...gimme a couple days and I will post pics.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the K&N has a plastic tube-SLP is steel, comes with sleeve fitting to mount after MAF. Looks really slick, produces a nice low end growl and a pretty mean sound when you get on it!
I will post more if I can get more info on ordering if it is possible

I don't understand why the posted link to the enclosed airbox doesn't have a plastic tube akin to the K&N (Which I have), while I agree the linked one looks better, I don't think you'd see too many gains, at all with it.

Hey Guys, what SLP sponsor program are you speaking of? I do not have any sponsor programs going on at all and we currently do not offer product for LS4 Impala's.
