Default Tax Return Time..

Alright.. I have the following mods:

Cold Air Intake
Kooks Aero Chambers
3" O/R Downpipe
0% tint
18 x 8.5 wheels all around

-----

So I got my tax return, and it's somewhere around 825$.. What else is there to do to these cars, really?

Rockers, springs, push rods, tuner vs HP or Vector, front and rear STB, full cat/back exhaust, rotor and brake pads, Ported TB, and there is also a turbo kit.

Turbo kit is a bit out of my range. Rockers and springs aren't though. I'm thinking I'm going to grab those, and also get some full 3" custom exhaust from the (Well, I can't say cat's back.. no cat. ), and a tune for it. On the whole tuning thing, do I have to send my unit in, and have it tuned, and they send it back?

Yes, send your TCM and ECM to Vector motorsports, you will be down a few days, but after looking at your sig, i think you have a car you could drive in the mean time. If you get one of their cores, you will have to go to your dealer and have them do a case relearn on the ECM.

Question: Where can I purchase the rockers\STB? I can't find them on the W-Body store.. If someone could give me a link to them, I'd love it.

I dunno i personally think its a waste of money. I don't see how a few hundred dollars is going to help the united states :-\ but each to his own.

Get the STBs here: http://www.drcustomparts.com/

As for rockers, it depends what brand you want. I believe any rockers for LS1/LS2 will work. That said Harland Sharp, SLP, Comp Cams, Yella Terra all make good rockers. PM other members who have them and see what combo they have or do a search in this forum and you should get all the info you need. Intense also sells valvetrain packages for LS4s I believe (www.intense-racing.com)

Here is the link to some good rockers at a great price. Plus they have a lifetime warranty and all you do is torque to 25 ft lbs and go. No guess-work...

https://www.patriot-performance.com/...&cat=49&page=1
Here is the link to the springs and retainers..
https://www.patriot-performance.com/...ome.php?cat=51
For pushrods I personally go with these...

Hope this helped?

I would stay FAR away from anything Intense Racing sells.

Also, there has been alot of posts/topics about where to get the rocker arms in the LS4 fourm, just do a search its your friend. The thing thats really bad about this is there is a topic about 1/2 down the page.....

https://ls1tech.com/forums/ls4-performance/869193-1-8-hs-rocker-pushrod-part.html

But since its easter, I will let you off and give you a link to the ones on summit racings website.

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...8&autoview=sku

You will also want to upgrade the springs and push rods since your going to be working in there.

Fwiw: Intense doesn't make thier own PR's, they have an outside vendor do them. I think it is CompCams that make them. If I could find the same exact one's some place else I would. Does anyone know where else you can find those oil restricted PR's? Thanks.

I went and took a look at the pushrods on CompCam's website and for 16 they want 236.00 and for the same one's Intense wants 129.00. I am not paying 110.00 more for the same exact thing. I know a lot of you don't like that company but I have ran valvetrain parts from them before with no problems for over 50,000 miles. I know they had troble with thier diff's but that is all I have heard about anything negative. Most of the guys here in MA run with thier parts but that is on V-6 applications. I am in no way trying to stick up for them but until I have any trouble I can't bash them. I do apprectaite the insight though and responses.

I have never brought anything from them, but my friends who had L67/L32 cars brought the following items from them

Shift kits, Tuned PCM/ECM, LSD ( and not the drug either ) traction items and also some springs. ALL Failed within 1-3 months. The tuning they did on there custom tunes turned out to mess up alot of peoples tranns. Also if you need more info, go to www.clubgp.com and look up how the guys at Intense racing messed with a custom car that ZZPerformance spent 2 years building just so they couldnt run fast. I also had my best friend place an order when them and never got his stuff. Intense will tell you that you can run a 3.25 pulley with no mods and stock OEM Plugs. That tells you how much these guys know.

Also, the guys at Vector Motorsports have had problems with Intense on there own personal cars before they started they own shop, so that tells you something aswell.

Bottom line, I dont care if they are the last place for car parts, I wouldnt buy them and I wouldnt even tell the person I hate the most to shop there...

Ok, maybe Diablosport.
