Just turn your stock Motor mount 90* and for TBS, I wouldnt waste your time with them. These cars do not need them asmuch as the L67/L32 supercharged cars did. If you wanna keep heat away, just wrap the crossover pipe.

TBS I'm using is an AiRaid 200-586 part number. I have noticed some more passing power and a little top end improvement with it. There is a motor mount some of the guys on here were using and you can get it at 3800performance.com look for motor mounts. But I think more ppl are happy with rotating the stock one 90*. Thats what I did.

what is the benefit of rotating your motor mount 90 degrees?

Also, what is the benefit of tbs on our ls4s?

I would say I noticed a good 6-10 hp with the tbs. I think with all my other mods it sure did not hurt. When I hit about 3700rpm in second the car flys shifts into third and i am 190 in no time. I cannot wait to FINALLY get my car tuned by some one that knows what they are doing with these motors. Guy figures I should get a good 20-30 hp.

Turning the bushing in your motor mount 90* gets the power to the wheels faster. If you look at the mount on the radiator support, it has gaps fore and aft, allowing the solid part of the mount to flex back and forth, which keeps the engine vibration from hitting the cabin. Turning the mount solidifies this momentum transfer and, as i said before, gets the power down to the wheels. Search for "motor mount" in this thread and you'll find a write up or two. Pretty sure there's one embedded in BADDLS1SS's (?) post about his rocker install.

For ultimate power transfer (and added vibration), you can remove your stock bushing and replace it with a poly bushing from many vendors. From what I've heard, and experienced myself, go with the one from 3800performance, like monte said. It provides the most upside w/ much less vibration compared to the others. I bought and installed the ZZP poly and it practically loosened my fillings when the temps dropped below 45&. It's just way too stiff. I sold it and bought a new stock mount that I did the turn with. I plan to get the MSP one from 3800 soon, though, but I want to keep the stock mount intact for cold weather times. IDK anything about the one from Intense (if there's even one available).

Aside from scarlett and monte above, everyone else has said that the TBS does nothing worth mentioning.

What is a TBS? Also I replaced my factoryu hydraulic transmission mount with a solid rubber one. Feels the same as far as vibration goes but adds some mroe rigidity to the driveline mounting.

Throttle Body Spacer. * taken from ZZPerformance.com

*A throttle body spacer will insulate your TB from the heat of the supercharger. Keeping your TB cool will help keep your intake temperatures down thus reducing KR and increasing HP potential.

I had the ZZP motor mount and it sucked felt like the bolts on the car were going to fall out. The 3800 motor mount is a way better compound and it's a bigger difference then just flipping the factory one. I put the factory motor mount back in during the fall/winter season and the 3800 motor mount I use during the spring/summer season. And the TBS there is for sure a difference installing it 6-10hp I would say even 1st pulls a little harder. Well worth the $100 from my view.

The throttle body spacer adds velocity by effectively improving the vacuum response to the TBI or carburetor. It increases the runner length of the intake manifold while at the same time increasing the overall plenum volume.

This, in turn, also acts to prevent any of the air-fuel mixture from hitting the bottom of the intake manifold and bouncing back up to scatter in the intake manifold increasing overall performance and throttle response.

By putting in the harder motor mount, did your car feel different while driving it?

Throttle response was much better with the ZZP. I just couldn't take the bone-jarring vibration when the trans downshifted into 2 then 1 when coming to a stop. The pro's were good, but the con's were worse.

Same here ZZP is like a brick the 3800performance one has a little give in it at least. Way better then just flipping the stock one.

What she said. In all this is why I tried a TBS on my car. I was impressed with the results and I passed on my opinions to all of you.
