Straight Pipe LS4 I was wondering, running a 2.5 or 3 inch straight pipe can cause any damages to the engine??
i know about the check engine light i already took off the resonator and cat and weld in straight pipes where it use to be...

If they don't test or visually inspect for a cat, and you have a tuner to delete the code that it might throw(can't remember if that would throw a code or not), than no it's not an issue.

kissmySS, when you get it all welded in, shoot me a video. There's no visual inspection here (MO), but they will fail you for a code. And as far as I know, there's no hand-held flash tuners for an 07.

You'd need like HPtuners to get rid of the code. And I wouldn't say it's necessarily excessive for a FWD as kissmyss said, but I just think it's generally excessive. I see too many people in Silverados and the like always running with straight pipes, doesn't always sound bad, but I think it would sound too raspy or something on these cars.
