In the next month... I am finally going to put in the shift kit and do a tranny filter / fluid change. I just purchased some SynthBlend Castrol Dexron 6. Already had the filter. I have never put in a shift kit, I always had the PCM programmed for firmer shifts. I also looked at the sticky on here and it seems pretty easy. I bought the shift kit from the W-Body store since it was only 18 bucks. I figured that was a really good price. It only comes with a new filter and 4 shims. Two long shims and 2 short ones. They look like nylon or something like it; not metal. Is anyone running shims like this? Thanks for any advice, it is welcome. : ) Plus, I get two new front tires on Friday morning. Badly needed. 49K on the originals....

I hope your not buying another pair of RSA tires??? Also, if the tires have 49K on them, wouldnt you be better off buying a set of 4? I would look at the eagle F-1 A/S tire. Awesome tire for these cars.
The tires are for a GXP so the fronts are a different size. The rear ones still look like new. The stock tires on a GXP are Bridgestone Potenza's. The tires are costing me 309.00 total which isn't too bad.

What a difference new tires make!!! It is like driving a new car. Makes me wish I did it sooner... Any tips anyone can add with the shift kit install I would love to hear. Thanks again.
