Default NITROUS Junkies check in

So the Impala isn't fast enough and I want some spray. I am weary of going with a wet shot as I've heard the LS intakes are prone to puddling. I don't need a direct port as that would be over kill for my purpose. On my previous cars I've had good luck with dry shots. I see some of you are spraying before the TB and some before the MAF which to my understanding was always a big no no. My plan was to purchase a TB spacer and tap that for the nozzle and go with a dry 100 shot. Any thoughts? I was just interested to see what kind of setups the LS4 boys are running.

IDK anyone other than wnyimpala that is NOS'd right now...so IDK who you're referring to. Look/search for posts by him regarding Nitrous, or send him a PM about it.

I put my nozzle on the end of my K&N. Dynotune suggested that I put the nozzle further away from the MAF so it is evenly distributed by the time it gets to the MAF. This way, the MAF can compensate properly.

If you go dry after teh Maf you need to build the extra gas needed into the tune. Ir if it is dry it needs to spray premaf.

I've thoughtthe MAF compensates due to the dry nos making the air more condense and the MAF senses it thus raising the fuel tables approprietly ?

Isn't this for the reason why you have a "fuel" jet on the vacuum line to the FPR. I have always run like this and never had a problem.

Hmmm... looks like other LS cars and NOS, and NX kits have you spraying through the MAF. I was always under the impression this was a no no and it is best to spray behind the throtle plate. Looking at the kit I had on both my 93' SHO and 98' GTP (Zex #82011) there really aren't any clear cut guidlines. I didn't want to use the Zex kit again because it utilizes the TPS to activate. I don't want to wire splice so I was gonna go with an NOS kit because I can use a switch mounted to the gas pedal. Now I am finding more questions then answers. Time to do some in-depth resaearch.

I don't think I would use a pedal switch, the drive by wire takes a few milli-seconds to react. Might not matter but is something to consider.

I've thought of that as well, I'm hoping that time lapse won't cause an issue.

to get a dry kit to work. you need to fog the maf. you will either A. have it work great, or B. it will freeze the maf and go blamo.

i went with a wet kit in the end. returnless systems suck

I'm now leaning towards a wet kit as a buddy with an LS1 Vette has had zero issues in many, many bottles sprayed with a wet kit set to a 150 shot. I am now very much leaning towards a wet kit with a tb spacer. Area 47 where did you tap for fuel on the wet kit?
