Default Dam you Eibach!!!

Geez, Ive been trying to order the lowering springs since early February. These guys still dont have springs for the 06 or 07 Monte SS.

They have springs for the 06 07 LT, LTZ though. Anyone know if those springs will fit the SS??

Gees you already have 22's and it fills the wheel wells good, unless you want to break your jaw with ruff ride I would leave it alone. If you live in a hot weather climate I would consider air bags though

Same thing here, I've been waiting. I might just end up getting the Intrax springs instead as they have a set for the Monte SS and hope it doesn't take it too low (1.8").

I'm guessing the spring rate on the LT/LTZ Eibach spring kit is less "harsh" than the one for the SS. Other than that, they might work...

BUT!...IIRC, the rear spring/strut perch/plate is formed differently on the Impala SS than other model Impala's. HOWEVER, Eibach makes one kit that fits all 06+ Impalas...so maybe the LT/LTZ kit for the monte would be fine on the SS afterall.

Will they throw you a bone and at least say what is different from the LT/Z kit to the SS?

what's the drop on the sprint springs?

Edit: never mind, there are no springs for the 06/07 Monte on their site.

Wow...the monte has it the worst of the ls4 bunch. We've had sprint and H&R springs for the Imp since 6mos after it came out. Eibach about one year later...and the GXP can use the old GTP springs.

Yeah Buff,

I'm contemplating just getting the 06 LT/LTZ springs and seeing if they work.

Well, I'm just going to buy the Intrax and put them on. I'll order them up tonight and hopefully put them on the car in the next couple of weeks.

Why do you suggest the impala SS springs over the Monte LT/LTZ springs??

Thumbs up

I would use the Impala SS springs on my Monte SS if I were to swap em to Eibach's. What is the weight difference from the Impala SS V.S. The Monte SS, like 300-400 lbs. Hell I bet there are people here with that much weight in stereo equipment and such in the car. It shouldn't effect the handling much if any, I mean with all the stuff people do to lighten their cars by removing the rear seat and spare tire, carpet and so on. You don't see them changing their spring rate for the loss in vehicle weight. That is if the springs will phisically fit, which I'm not sure of. Worst case sinario they don't fit, or they don't give you the total drop advertised. Big deal!

All you have to do is find out the dimensions before you order.
