Hopeful for Headers On May 4th I'm going to the NHRA drag races in St. Louis. I've got tickets to the pits and I'm gonna ask the aftermarket manufactures if headers are coming for our LS4s. I'll post back in a couple weeks to say if I've found any updates.
I will save you the trouble of asking.

Mike at Milzy said he would definately be interested in doing a set if he knew he would have enough buyers to recover his investment. I would be willing to be a guinea pig car as I just picked up a secondary daily driver. Maybe everyone who is interested should call him and express their interest. Maybe he could even set up a group buy type deal where everyone who wanted a set would put down some sort of deposit and pay the full amount when completed. I know I am interested. I think headers would help these breath a heck of a lot better. If I had headers and a 100 shot with a good launch/tune (on top of what I already have) I think mid 12's would be possible with a good launch. Pretty damn good considering the little investment plus keeping the driveablity and comfort. I would love to have cartuning's turbo kit as I know it already does this for these cars but I don't have the 6k to pony up for it up front.
You can look up a post I made about 6+ months ago about Milzy. He will do them, and at that time we needed 12 people to pre order the headers to keep the cost down. No one really wanted to jump on board. Now it seems that people have forgotten about that or are new here. I am all for him and his headers, but again like i said before "Not at this time untill someone can drop off there car, so NO"
Trust me... I want headers as bad as the next guy, but untill someone can drop off their car, its not going to happen for awhile... We have a better chance to get a tune for 07/08 LS4's from Diablosport then headers.

Well I was not going to say anything until the process was done; but I already have an appointment with a company they are going to keep my car for 5 days rent me a car for free. He is going to fab up 2 sets of headers one is going to be stainless and the other one will be the mild steel. He said the stainless will sit around 900 and the mild steel 6-700. I will be resetting my car to factory tune and doing a before and after with headers, then he will tune it and take a dyno pull. I have my appointment for the middle of May so I should have everything up by the end of May. Once we are in the final stages I will be calling ZZP and 3800 performance to partner up to sell the headers in the US. Because if he just sells them you guys will get slapped silly at the border allot easier to off load them to a reseller. It is a crazy speed shop that is doing it and I guess they just hired some crazy air plane fabricator dude so he is putting him to work.

Headers are a catch 22 almost. The manufactures know there is not a high demand for them, so they don't want to make them unless more people sign up to buy them. We the consumer to not want to pony up the cash ahead of time until we see the end quality and results of the headers and the performance gains.
So we are kinda stuck in limbo. Scarlett, keep us updated.
Sooner or later a shop will have to bite the bullet and fab up a set for LS4 owners to see in action. Because I don't see everyone chipping in $800 for a set of headers that have never been tested or a manufacture that might not follow through. Lets hope things work out.

I agree! I was the first LS4 car Milzy tuned and I think my track numbers speak for themselves not to mention Mike is an awsome dude and very easy to deal with.

My statement wasn't directed towards Milzy, I was just stating that in general we as buyers are wary of putting up the cash for a pre-order on a product that has not even been developed or tested. We usually all want to wait and see dyno gains and pictures of the new headers , intake etc before we pony up the $$$.

yeah, the 'worked on a set' for the b-body Impala's too. Said they dropped right in. All the did was change the part number on a Camaro (an LT1 is an LT1, right?), never did any test fitting (obviously because they were not even close to fitting).
