Default ZZP shift kit vs 3800 Performance shift kit

The ZZP kit has neoprene shims and no springs but cheap (of course). I may send it back (unless someone wants it).

This kit uses metal shims and gives you new dual springs, and the accumulator gasket.

Anyone's opinion?

Are you sure you don't mean the ZZP kit containig neoprene shims? The Intense kit is shown in the sticky at the top of this forum and contains a bunch of springs and brass spacers. I'm still curious why "kissmyss03" is not happy with his ZZP kit.

I have the ZZP kit and I like it. I had an Intense kit in my old car ('99 Monte Z34 with 4t65e non-HD trans) and I also liked it. Hard to compare but you can't go wrong with either one really. They basically accomplish the same thing using different parts. Intense has a bad rep, mostly because of their LSD's that caused so many problems, but their shift kits have been around for a long time and I never heard anything bad about them (and there are TONS of cars that have them). However, I still trust ZZP more because of my past experiences and they seem to stand by their products better.

I have the ZZP kit and love it. $30 well spent. Also do a search on here, I remember reading that the shift kits with the metal spacers shave away at the rods they ride on. The plastic ones don't. I would go with ZZP kit and with the money you save you can spend it on more mods.
