Default Another dead tire sensor?

This morning I started my car up, and the DIC said "check right front tire pressure". The tire monitor showed it had 7psi, of course when I checked it with my gauge it showed 31psi. The sensor must be dead, this makes 3 so far.

I would say 60% FS and the rest are the mouth-breathing public* who failed to do the most basic of safety checks on the vehicle they put their children in by not even looking at the tires once in a while.

*as proof of their bona fide qualifications as an inbred, mouth-breathing herd animal, I submit that they bought a Ford Explorer to begin with....

I'm not sure why they go out so often, but I see it all the time on other GM's. This is the first car I've owned with this system, and its garbage if you ask me. What good is it if it never works right?

i can tell you that it is because of all those problems that all newer cars today have them installed and they do go bad.

Do GXP's show the tire pressure as well on the DIC? I know how reset the sensors but I never saw a way to make the tire pressures be shown on the DIC.

My '07 GXP will show the tire pressures on the DIC. I just can't remember which button. but there are two displays, one that shows the front tire pressures and the next one shows the rear pressures.

Mmmmmm .... BS'd validation. Never should have gone in production. I had a cap weld to my stem over the winter, an issue that was brought up in '03 or '04 with the gen 1 stuff. We had mules that we were breaking the valve bodies by removing the caps.

My original RSA's are now pretty decent intermediate tires, when they get changed, I'm dumping the sensors and having the dealer turn off the warning.

BTW - my ex's '07 Imp is throwing the TPMS warning as well.

Hey Casey - those are some pretty wide tires you've got on the front...any rubbing issues??

I haven't seen any rubbing issues, I can go lock to lock on the steering and feel nothing rub, grind, resist. I don't know what the offset is on the rims, I'll have to find that information.

Although I don't think I would attempt to lower the car with the current tires, that would probably introduce issues with said rubbing
