Default GXP back from the shop today.

I got my GXP out of the shop today with some new goodies installed. Sorry for no sound clip. I'm going to buy a camcorder tomorrow as my daughter's is just to complicated. The last pic is of a decal I searched the internet for. You know how those rice rockets always have stickers that say powered by this & that or ????? inside. Well I believe my decal says it all.

All looks good, aside from the decal...appears offcenter based on the location of the window stamp.

The car is noticeably louder, huh? Fun times ahead!

How did the cat-back install go? I ordered mine Monday and plan on doing it this weekend at the base hobby shop if it is here in time. It uses the stock hangers, correct? I was worried about the stock bolts being tough to break loose, but I just had the DP put in a couple weeks ago so that shouldn't be a problem. Did you have any trouble getting the tips to line up where you wanted them?

Shouldn't be too tough for the mechanically inclined, but MF tips are notorious for sticking out really far.

Yeah, from those pics they look like they're sticking out just a bit. I like the placement of the stock ones myself. I guess if it comes down to it I can have the muffler shop cut and weld them to my liking.

Just need to work them back alittle bit like I did and they will be perfect.

I have found the quality of the Mangaflow kit to be average at best.

I like how the dual/dual tips on the MF tick out on the GXP, reminds me of a TA....but on a MC or Imp they look stoooopid with those big goofy singly fluted tips.

Yeah, that's why I went with the slash-cut TBSS tips on mine...I hated the MagnaFlow cannons that came with mine. Although fitment under the bumper was an issue, they were still ugly at best, imo.

I am going to see if I can get a custom set up really soon. I am just going to run the Magnaflow res on the car and then exhaust pipes from there out. No mufflers.

Straight pipes! **** on the res too! you'll love the gurgle from the backpressure from letting off the gas and using the engine to slow down.

Yeah, I took out my shin gettin' something out of the trunk with the M/F tips sticking out a foot or so ...

Still don't get the design intent, saw them doing that on a Corvette the other day???

Yeah it's a more aggressive sounding that's for sure. You're right the decal is a little off center. Minor detail though.

Yes the tips are a little off. When my buddy gets his lift clear we'll straighten them out. I actually had a shop do all the work, but if I'm not mistaken the all the stock hangers are utilized.

What problems did you have with your magnaflow system and K&N CAI?

Right as you said the thing about the MF corvette exhaust, I saw one with a MF system and the tips stuck out like 5 inches.....
