Aero Chambers at least at my size of pipe won't give that low frequency rumble that gets you in the chest, but I think Flowmasters will. One things is certain. once the engine is warmed up there is no rasp at all. Plus they sound pretty good on a decel holding in 1st or 2nd gear.
I've used(am still using) AeroChambers and they worked well for me. I have never needed a resonator with them. They seem to keep the natural sound of the engine while muting the high frequency rasp. You still have that heavy breathing Flowmaster effect without the rasp. Other mufflers I want to try someday are Gibson and Mac.

Make sure you have a decent set of speakers otherwise it'll sound all crappy.
