Default Cylinder numbering
Anybody know how the cylinders are numbered in our cars? Is #1 the front left and #2 the rear left and so on??

1 3 5 7 in front and 2 4 6 8 in the rear it looks like to me. Counting from the pully side to the transmission side. Someone correct me if I'm wrong or that isn't clear enough of a description.
