Damn you all are getting ripped. I pay $1200 a year for full coverage 100/250 deductible 300,000/500,000, for my wifes 03 Eddie Bauer loaded Expodition, and my 06 MCSS. Plus I have rental, glass, and media coverage on both, and some other coverage that will replace my SS for the first 3 yrs if it gets totalled.

How old are you? Where do you live? How's your credit? And WTF is media coverage?

I'm 31, live in the west burbs of Chicago, and media coverage is for the DVDs and CDs mostly in the wifes car. Last credit score from our refi. Last year was 811. Country insurance and financial, is who we carry, also have homeowners insurance through them.

I paid $3900 last year for 12 months full coverage etc on a g'damn 2000 Buick Regal LS.

It was going to be $4000+ for the Impala SS, but my insurance is going down to only $2400 this year because a few points are coming off of my license.

260 a month is over $3k a year, how is that low? I don't even pay 260 every quarter.

I forgot to add that I added $1000 in audio coverage for the new HU I put in a couple months ago. Added a few bucks to the premium.

So, you switching now? They handled my claim very well. I'm satisfied.

Aside from driving history, credit is the #2 reason for high (or low) premiums, then location and the other stuff. You have excellent credit, my friend...and having your homeowners through them helps too. Not living in the city also helps.

I thought your homeowners covers the stuff in the car, like CD's and portable music players and stuff.

Yeah, I'd have to agree that what they're calling low is a crock of s**t. I think you forgot to roll your eyes after part of your post

...and how the hell did a 23yo female get in here under the radar????

Lastly, I never knew we had a "multiple quote" button in this forum. Lovin that thing!

+1 on the female MCSS owner haha.

Not sure if I'm going to switch yet, but that extra few bucks in my pocket would definately help, and it's reassuring knowing that they handled your claim well Chris. Also, thanks for mentioning the audio coverage, I keep forgetting to call them up and inquire about that. Between the D3 and my sub and amp I don't wanna be SOL if that stuff gets stolen.

Hijacking my own thread. LOL
How many on here renewed your onstar service?
I have used it once in a year. Some old guy had collapsed in his driveway so I pressed the Red Button and said send an ambulance to my location and I ran out the car to help him out. Ambulance came in about 5 min or so. pretty cool not sure if it is worth the $200 a year.

I held off on resubscribing untill they ended up bringing the price down to $129 + tax, which brought it back up to bout $150. Only did cuz my wife drives the car ocasionally.

I hear it's fairly easy to talk them down a bit if they think you're really gonna cancel.

I never used mine, but I did renew it. I'd rather have it there in the off chance I flip my car down into a ditch and break my neck and cant get to my cell phone. Although I didn't renew my calling minutes. Since I have the bluetooth on the D3 and always have my cell phone with me I saw no need to do so.

I kept XM also, I use it ALOT. Although it was like pulling teeth to have them transfer my subscription over to the new HU when i got the D3. The customer service person was slightly stupid.

When they called to renue my sub. all I did was tell them, it should be a pay per use deal, and that I was not going to pay 200 bucks for something I might not ever use. After 2 or 3 calls they offered it at the 129+tax deal, did ask if thats the best they could do, and they said it was at the time so I did it.
