6G2EP57W79L306169 sold back April 30th, 2022, a 2009 Silver G8 GXP with 40,000 miles sold for $20,000 USD. $20,000 is very cheap as a starting budget for a car that for a little more could be putting out 1000HP on the street. A KIA van costs at least $35,000.

I will be $11500 into the car shortly. $5500 for the turbo kit, that's already installed. $6000 for my stage 4 transmission build. paying for the tranny this week. with the kit and the bullet proof transmission, 500 WHP is the goal and easily attained. 06 GP GXP.

I know this thread is almost a year old, but I'm seriously considering the car tuning turbo kit for my 2007 Monte Carlo SS. However, the trans seems to be the problem. You mention a 'stage 4' transmission. What is that? I've talked to Dave at Triple Edge performance and he can only build a Stage 2 that will hold about 350whp. Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Stage 4 is built with heavier-duty parts and gears. that's all. good for 850 hp

Is it from Triple Edge? Dave said he can't get these parts anymore. Did you just get your Stage 4 transmission from him last year? Thanks a ton!

It is not from triple Edge. i was pretty sure they have a stage 3. my trans builder is in Missouri. cartuning might be able to help you with a transmission also. I beat the crap out of my factory one for almost 2 yrs. a stage two would still be ok.

I emailed cartuning yesterday so awaiting their response. If you're happy with your transmission, then I'd be interested in you sending me the contact information for your builder in MO. You drove your factory trans for 2 years with 400-500whp from that turbo kit? And you beat it to crap before it failed?? That makes me feel a little bit better, as I just imagined the trans crapping the first time I stomped on it lol! Let me know on the guy in Missouri, you can PM me the information or post here for all. Thanks!

Cartuning allows you to run factory dynoed parts. I put 5-7 lbs of boost on the factory trans. it is still not burned out but getting there. the factory intake is dynoed for 640 hp. I went with Kevin so I didn't have to build a Frankenstein. That kit is a bolt off and bolt on. I will be glad to share with you my trans builder contact. Get the cartuning kit......changed my life driving.......cartuning will do you right.

Waiting to hear back from Cartuning. It's been 2 days, but I'm just excited lol! I'll ask him about the transmission as well.

I see Red_Zone had a new cam and DOD delete done, this has been recommended to me as well. Did you do this or any other upgrades besides the turbo kit and transmission? I think I saw you changed your valve springs maybe too?

Post or PM your transmission person/shop if you could.

Again, thanks!
