Default Mangaflow mufflers vs. Flowmaster 40's

I know I've asked quite a few questions about exhaust lately, but i'm picky lol. How is the interior noise of magnaflow, flowmaster 40, 44's or any other mufflers. I really dont want something that will get annoying while i'm taking long trips. Any help will be appreciated

'Flows will be a little more mellow and reserved...Flowmasters will be louder but they hurt performance.

the key to handling drone is to keep the resonator and get a muffler that is double wrapped (two layer casing). Really stiffens them up and keeps them quiet. My mufflers growl pretty good under throttle and at idle, but they cannot be heard over the tire noise at cruise. There are several brands I believe. Mine are from Heartthrob mufflers in MN. You can get them or probably something equivalent pretty much anywhere.

Magnaflow cat-back is on my car. It has a nice mellow rumble, and sounds good when you give it gas. It's all I need in an exhaust.

I put a magnaflow cat back on my solstice gxp. Everybody that i talked to that had it on there cars said it was nice and mellow.and no drone. After 3000 miles i took it off. The drone at 2000rpm was very annoying. At higher rpm's it wasnt to bad but 2000 rpm's is right around 55 to 60. To make a long story short, try one before you buy one. Just one mans opinion.

Well,

The magnaflow has just a tiny, and I mean tiny amount of drone inside. You can still listen to music and talk etc. You can definitely live with it. I don't like loud exhaust, and I'm telling you, the Magnaflow is PERFECT!

Here are a couple of my exhaust vids:

Thanks to everyone who gave me their input. I think I'm going to go with the magnaflow's, but I'm tight on money so I just want to buy a a pair of mufflers and tips. Anyone know which mufflers and tips come with the magnaflow cat back system for the Monte Carlo ss?

Not sure, but I saw an unbranded system that looked like a magnaflow on ebay the other day. Seemed kinda shady, but cheaper lol.

I suppose someone could measure the length, and its just a 2.5 in/out the center right? The thing is the ones have hangers welded on in the kit, but thats not a super big deal.

My stocker was 1 3/4". Mine was an early '06 production run (says DoD on the engine cover).

Car isn't here right now to check the M/F size (instead eating pizza listening to Buckcherry's Crazy B*tch). No part # on the mufflers, just a stamping. Look for the "Big A$$" tips in the M/F catalog - they were around 4" - seriously!
