1.5 more mpg with upgrades!
1.5 more mpg with upgrades! With my new tune, exhaust and intake I am getting 1.5 more miles per gallon with the warmer weather and better fuel, I think I will see even more. I put in 15.76 gallons and drove for 345 miles before the light came on (21.8) I drive 60 miles per day. During my first 30 I go about 70-75mph and on my way home I play sitting duck in stop and go.

Im gettin like 14.somethin on the DIC with mostly city. Hopefully I can get 20-25 (or more) when I go on my 500 and some mile trip later in July.
BTW I don't have DOD on my computer thats currently in the car, but I'll bring another one with for a swap if the mileage is really bad. I don't really want to listen to a helicopter on the highway all 3.5 hrs or whatever.... will crank the radio up maybe.

texas speed sells them. just search on the forum i guess. i think its in the gen iii engine section with info and stuff. they say up to 50hp increase over stock but i have no idea what im making. would be more if i did the ls6 cam lifters intake etc.

the only thing that was kinda a drag about the install was that i had to use half inch valve cover spacers which required the alternator bracket to be machined to clear.

Wow get that intake manifold off of that engine man and port that rear manifold! How does you car compare to stock now and have you raced anyone? Tell me more. You can PM me but I'm sure others would like to more as well.

I need to get the tranny upgraded too.
I know man someone needs to come out with some good parts or a kit. TB/intake would be a good start.
The exhaust manifolds... not sure if porting is really gunna help or worth the hassle. Would rather see headers.

Just wait a bit, my engine loosened up after about 37K miles and the highway economy keeps going up. Just over 40K right now and it nets a solid 27+ at 75 MPH, will easily pull 400 miles out of a tank, even with some in town use. Previously, would be lucky to get 23 on the highway at 75.
