even the 04 gto are looked down upon in the ls1gto forums. and the funny part is these comments aren't comming from true enthuthiasts but from benchracers. A true racer will see a deficiency and overcome it. The wannabes just complain and ridicule.

I've been around the internet a long time, and have done my fair share of berating and belittling people with witty insults and retorts. With that said, I can tell when someone is talking taller **** then they can back up. Chaman is one such case. I won't deny that I like how the Magnums look, but I won't fool myself into thinking they're faster then they are! And it's funny that Chaman is trying to down talk the LS4 owners, when if there were an SRT equivalent LS4, he'd be holding his tongue (I don't expect him to understand what that means). Yea, it's a FWD, big deal, IT HAS A V8! That's more than many of the other FWD cars can say. None that come to mind (and many do!) are at all meant to be fast like these cars are. Riviera, Cadillacs, Continental, Toronado to name a few, all luxurious easy riders. And the MPG issue is well merited! That SRT8 is being matched for performance and blown away with economy! 13/18 is the EPA rating on that Magnum! MY 15 YEAR OLD LT1 GETS BETTER MILEAGE! I don't want to hear the "I've got more HP" excuse, because more HP at lower cubes generally = better volumetric efficiency, which in turn = better gas mileage. The thing that MOPAR hasn't been able to get right on any of their vehicles V6 or greater, since easily all the way back to 1985, is efficiency. A 2002 Dakota with low miles, going down the highway with the tailgate down should get more than 14mpg!! And it wasn't a vehicle specific issue, it was any of the V8 equipped vehicles (trucks in this instance), regardless of the EPA rating. What it is they can't get right, I don't know! A new Challenger gets fair MPG rating, but it's sad when the M6 and A5 get the same mileage >_>
As for your "You wanted a REAL 4 door car", well I'm sorry, but no...
HERE it is

I wouldn't bother trying to come back with some weak *** retort, since I won't be peaking my head back into this thread again
I only did it to begin with to see what made your dumb *** so sig worthy.

Don't make him the center of attention unless it's a circle jerk. Then again, he'd like that too much.

Got a race the other morning with a '07 Mustang GT. He took a little jump. By 40, I was a fender ahead. By 75, he was at my rear fender. It would have gotten worse for him since I pull much better higher up with the cam and rockers, but I had to slow for traffic. I also need to add a little fuel and up the line pressure on my tune. I am running kinda lean right now (but it does help my mileage).
Do the GTs all have the shaker hood as an option? Is that appearance only or is there a performance gain?
Wonder if it would have made a more of a difference if my cutout was open?
Oh, I like that picture of the G8, it's just too bad it does not seem to look like that in real life
