Killed a stock STI from 35 to 130. At a dead stop I'd get my headlights sucked out though.
Lost big time to a mid 90's M3.

I believe some of these wins were driver mod wins. Reason being, I've previously owned a LT1 and LS1 and now I own a 08' GMC Sierra Crewcab with the LS4. I see all 3 of the engines basically equivalent to each other, give or take a little. LT1=torquey, LS1=equal amount of power throughout the powerband and the LS4=fast revving. {maybe it's just my 3.73 gears} No matter what engine it is, as long it's a GM, it's gonna' run like a scalded ape!

Not sure what motor you got in your 08 GMC if yor talking about a 5.3 then is probably an LM7 or LM4 vortec v8 not an Ls4, Ls4s are only designed for FWD cars.............I have a 2004 GMC Sierra with 5.3 LM4 v8.

I just read up on Vortec engines, I got the LY5, which replaced the LM7 in mid2007. As goes for all the engines, aren't they basically the same, except for heads and intake?

had an automatic LT1 'Vette jump around me leaving a light at about 25 MPH and I hammered it until about 5 over the limit (60ish MPH), not a real race, but he pulled about a car length right away (stupid second gear), then he stopped pulling as I started to get some rev's under it and I got almost 1/4 of it back by the end. He appeared to be cat-less (or in less than premium condition) as he was spewing some nasty looking exhaust. Shrug.

Yesterday, ended up with a Jaguar next to me at a light, his lane went away about 100 yds up. Light goes green, stupid front wheel drive doesn't let me even leave at 1/4 throttle without spinning (thus probably making him think I was going all out) and the Jag moves. I mean it flat out MOVES. Talk about an ***-kicking, he pulled at least 3 cars on me by 50 MPH (which is just over the speed limit), with my foot planted on the floor. The XK-R sounded even better than it ran. A gutteral growl, punctuated with staccato chops. Awesome.

Damn thats a ricer response if there wever was one.

The guy called me out at a meet. I gave him the go from a dig and left him behind. This is with a SUV that only ran 9.3 last time at the track.

Is it the AWD TBSS? Those things launch hard.

Nope 2wd. It dead hooks though (air bags in the back from the factory). AWD just slows them down up top.
