lol, that cracked me up....

as it normally goes in Internet-land, everyone has the fastest car and everyone has beat an Enzo Ferrari with their car.

i went from a 05 hemi truck to the GXP, i know....a truck....but it doesnt even compare to the GXP. Love the GXP, but hate the problems that are coming along with it.

Nothing. There isn't a "normal" Hemi Charger. To get the 5.7L Hemi you have to get an R/T. And obviously an SRT8 if you want the 6.1L.

Theres a charger 4 doors down that has a hemi and no r/t badges just a little hemi badge on the side. The owner said he bought it like that, and i've seen another around town too. strange

They either added a Hemi badge, or debadged the R/T badges. The V6 Chargers with the 3.5 usually have a 3.5L badge thats the same size as the Hemi badge and in the same location. But you can't get the Hemi in another of the lower models. Same as you couldn't get an LS4 in a non-GXP GP or non SS Imp or MC.

SE: 2.7L V6
SXT: 3.5L V6
R/T: 5.7L Hemi
SRT8: 6.1L Hemi

Now, perhaps he ordered a police spec Charger with a Hemi. That is the only way you'd have a Hemi that's not an R/T, I didn't think of that the first time around. I've heard you can just go down to a Dodge dealer and order one. I don't know if there's any truth to that though, but it's what I've heard. I don't think Chevy or Ford lets you do that with their 9C1 Impala or Interceptor though.

And naturally there is going to be a much larger aftermarket for that car. There always has been. There's a hell of alot more of those cars on the road than LS4 cars. And the fact that they're RWD automatically makes companies more willing to make parts.

I think he is talking about the Charger r/t [U]R[U]oad and Track (R&T) package a lot of guys have. But ya the r/t emblems used to be small on the 05 models and then the 06+ got the large RT in the grill.

Because there are more people modding Hemi's than LS4's and Northstars. Simple as that.

well lets take a look at the j-body what a HUGE aftermarket for those cars, and the ecotec my alero could make over 1,000 hp with that block, so if a j-body can make huge amounts of power, why not a front wheel drive v8 that look 10x better then some crapailer

Demand. Many more people are going to mod ecotecs than LS4's. Look at how many modded cars you see of those vs. LS4 cars. We're in the great minority here of people who actually mod these cars. Take the Imp SS for example, 90% of the ones I see are driven by senior citizens. If there's not a demand for the parts they're not going to make them. Yea, all of us want the parts, but you have to look at the big picture. Most of the LS4 cars sold will remain stock. You can see a modded Cavy almost anytime you take a drive anywhere. How many modded LS4 cars do you see on a normal basis?

its almost a chicken-and-egg problem though... you dont see any modded cars because there is crap for aftermarket support, you dont see aftermarket support because nobody thinks people want to mod the cars
