I'm tellin ya man... buy this stuff:

http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/hpi.aspx

you put it in your gas tank, and just put in 1 ounce per 4-5 gallons of gas you put in your tank... cleans everything out and helps protect engine internals, as well as everything else I mentioned in my last post at the bottom of the first page of this thread...

it works...

I put it in my wife's Equinox too...

both cars run smoother, start easier, have more power, and we're getting better mileage to boot!

for my Monte, with its 17 gallon tank, I usually fill up with about 12.5-13 gallons of gas, and put in about 2.5-3 ounces of that amsoil synthetic 2-stroke tcw3 oil...

Interesting. Do you buy it online or can you find it locally?

How did you even fathom that an oil made for 2-cycle engines would work as a fuel additive?

I use the GM Top End Cleaner. Made a huge difference in my 87 Grand National at 120,000 miles. It smoked like **** but made a difference in mileage and idle quality.

Derek,

They sell 2-stroke WC-T3 oil by Super Tech at Wal-Mart for $1.97 for a 16 oz. bottle or you can get a gallon of it for $10.97. This is what I have been using and it works great. It will not hurt anything as long as you use 1 oz. per every 4 to 5 gallons of gas. I have noticed much less soot on my exhaust tips, better gas milage and easier start-ups after running this for only 1 week. It works great. I use a turkey baster to measure the oz's that go in the tank.

yep... the stuff works man... my car and the wife's are running smoother, and better mileage, and better giddy-up, etc etc... it cleans the injectors, top end, etc etc.. all the stuff listed in my previous post...

had my brother-in-law start doing it a couple weeks ago on his chevy minivan - has 208,000 miles on it - no lie!! same original engine!! and with using the TC-W3 oil added to the gas, it starts/runs smoother, more pep, and is getting better mileage as well...

can't beat it...

the **** works!!

Mgpeagle - glad to hear ya tried it out man, and that you're experiencing the benefits as well!!

yep, the only requirement is, the 2-stroke oil HAS to be NMMA / TC-W3 certified... does not have to be synthetic, but it MUST have those two ratings/certifications...

because in order to get those ratings/certifications, the oil must have certain detergents/additives in it, and those are what clean/help our engines...

Thanks Lou. I read that whole post by "Sarge" and it made a lot of sense. I am very glad I started using this.

My car runs like I just gave it an oil change. I haven't changed my oil in almost 2 months. Must be the marine 2-stroke oil doing it's job. I am so glad this topic came up.
