Default Fuel filters??
Do we(LS4s)have fuel filters? if yes then where the hell is it?? if no then how does the system operate without filter??

our fuel filters are located inside the gas tank and are listed as a "non-servicable" item...

Thanx......non-servicable thats before GM new about the 10% ethonal, I got 50k an I'm getting into my tank, remember when GM used to say that the supercharger oil from 3.8 GTPs(97s) were non-servicable that happend to be false.

In order to replace that fuel filter, you must replace the entire fuel sending unit.

And it lists for almost $450....

Yeah, it's actually made as part of the sender. There's no way that I can see that someone is going to make an aftermarket replacement filter for it.

thats nothing compare to the concept for a fwd v8, although i bought one. these are are so great looking its just a shame they didn't put the ls1 or ls2 in these cars. that would solve our problem for mods inparticularly headers

Even if this was an LS1, LS6, LS2, LS3, ect... It would still be a FWD platform and headers still wouldn't be available. Remember we have LS6 heads on these cars to begin with so if it was RWD there would be plenty of options. The problem isn't the engine design it is the actual sideways layout that is. Just have the stock mani's ported. Headers are quite a ways away it seems.

What the hell woulda solved the header problem, adding a LS1 or 2? That makes no sense, its still a transverse engine, it sits sideways!!!! That's the header problem! Not the fact its a LS4.
