im thinking of getting the QTP cutout. Does anyone reccomend a different one? also out exhaust is 2.5" correct?

I've heard better results from the DMH, which I will soon be buying as well. And yes, you will need a 2.5" cutout

A guy with a turbo Impala (3.8L) over at NAIOA said they are good for 25hp...could that be true? I can't imagine that there is 25hp worth of restriction in a stock exhust.

FWIW I'm no expert but I have heard that cut outs do offer a lot higher hp gains on F/I engines as opposed to N/A ones. I will say thought that the last time I went to the track I ran near identical 60', 1/4 times and trap speeds with the cap on or off.

It does make it sound like one mean SOB though!
