Default e-Cutout Wiring ?

All you e-cutout guys.
Where did you tap in for power?
Did you use a relay?
I am getting the DMH cutout installed. Sometime this week, as soon as i get it in the mail. To save a few bucs I want to wire it myself.

I want to place the switch next to the TC and trunk opener buttons. but will see, another place is tap from the power seat and put the switch next to the seat controls.

Just throwing it out there...but it would be cool to install the button on the shifter somehow...kinda like a NOS button But I could see that putting it there might make you use it more often.

Not sure how you're getting from the underside of the car to the cabin w/o drilling. Have you figured that out yet?

Hey Chris,

That be interesting but yeah I'd be fidgeting with it as one to many times I find my hand on the shifter as if it was a manual LOL.

The spare tire compartment has a ruber or plastic insert in the middle. I am thinking of running it through there, then run it under the carpet and then to the driver side somehow.
The cutout is going in right before the y. Right next to the rear pass wheel.

I just ran a wire straight from my fuse box in the engine bay threw the hole behind the floor board up behind the dash. I wired my wires from the cutout along the fuel lines up under the skirts threw the door up behind the ebrake behind the dash. I used 2 fuses 1 12 inchs from the connection in the engine bay and a 2nd one within the dash for justincase. I also installed a extra switch to disable the rocker switch so no one accidentally mess's with it.

You can see where i've drilled holes into my fuse box to accept connections for different things.

I would love to tell you how but I had a local shop do everything for me. If you want I can call and ask how they did it.

Thanks ChefChub it is ok. kinda have an Idea how I'll do it.
Will see if it works, worst case I'll have the shop folks doing the welding help out.
In one of the other threads you posted a vid your car sounds mean as hell with the cutout open.
Thanks again.

With the electric cut outs can you open them at anytime while driving, or do you have to shut the car off to open and close it??

You can open them at anytime while you are driving.
Depending on how you wire it you might not be able to open it when the car is off.

if you do put a wire threw the engine bay becarefull around the alternator its the hottest place in the back of the bay. Do not let anything within 2 inch'es of it or it will melt. I even used engine bay wire sheath stuff and it melted.

Do you get any exhaust leak ticking from the e-cutouts when closed? They can't make a perfect seal, so what does it sound like closed?
