Default Just got back from the dyno :(

So i put down 266 HP and 324.2 lb of torque, and that was after i got it tuned

The only thing left to do to my car is rockers and push rods, and getting my stuff ported. Is there anything else we can do like cams? becasue gains from cams and headers would be tremendous.

So basically your engine is making 333hp/405 ft lbs torque at the crank at 20% drivetrain loss. Thats really not bad with the mods your have done! 30hp/80ft lbs gain. With rockers you'll gain around another 10 horse possibly at crank. I think in reality with simple bolt ons we probably can only push 350hp limit. Unless you go NoS, turbo, or supercharged(none made for our cars)But if you go that route you'd better reinforce the trans. Personally I'd go with a custom 3in' exhaust instead of magnaflow. Cheaper and you'd get more flow. Also, after you install rockers and pushrods get re-tuned. Run a lil richer. A lot of power and driveability is all in the tuning.

Well there is a turbo kit already, Cartuning kit! do a search!
But for a mostly stock engine that is an awesome amount of tq!

idk maybe i feel disappointed because they tuned me next to a Lamborghini, a corvette and a gto putting out over 600hp....but i was talking to the guys there and they all seemed to think the next move for my car after the porting and the pushrods/rockers should be a cam and headers, but i cant seem to find any for this car.

Best bet, get the turbo kit ($5600 i think) NoS (about $650) like I said no superchargers for LS4s. Headers prob never gonna happen. Good luck with a cam. Lotta work and down time....and tuning to make it run correct. I'd go rockers, better exhaust, ported intake and tb. Maybe try different heads. Try some NoS just remember to have your car tuned for it. And don't forget the trans...put any real power to it and you'll be screwed. Reinforce it! It'll be hard and damn near impossible to get these cars to run with 600+ hp lambos and gtos.

Buy GXPJAY's turbo for $3500. It has already stretched its legs.

As for more power, this just isn't a platform that allows it. A turbo or Supercharger will get you more power, but these just wont drive or perform like the GTO's, Camaro's, or the high end Mustang's.

Personally I am saving my money for a GTO. In a year or so GTO's in good condition will be close to 10K. As for the LS4 cars, enjoy them as daily drivers, that is what they were built as.

I enjoy my Monte Carlo alot, its fun, and pretty fast, plus the gas mileage is great. If you "wanna go fast" --Ricky Bobby then get a car that is designed to go fast, ie GTO or Camaro

heads just google LS6 heads that's what we have, I'm sure you can find plenty of places that sell the heads that do P&P work and CNC work.

and you can replace our cam with an ls6 cam. gm high performance magazine has been doing alot of stuff to the 5.3 lately. i would go to a book store and sit down a read it for a while. they weiand intake should be coming out soon, i plan on buying that. but like monte said, it will require alot of work and down time
