Louvers on side of front fenders

Louvers on side of front fenders Do these function to remove heat from the engine bay? If so, I am curious how the heat is routed? I notice that the Impala SS and Monte Carlo SS do not have similar louvers???

are they even functional?? hahah... if you open up your hood, and look down through, can you see through them?? or are they just stick on's like the Buicks??

Functional....Nah. They look nice though. Ppl need to quit sticking portholes all over their fenders alongside some 24' Dubb decals and some huge *** wheels looking like a 4 wheel drive car. Does anybody really think that **** looks good? Lol

This place is right down the street from where I work...They ruin soooo many nice classic cars and quite a few W-Bodys, from what I've seen.

I just popped the hood on my GXP and peeked through the side-vents to see...sunshine! The vents DO lead into the engine compartment, but I left my wind tunnel at home and can't tell if they actually serve a purpose.
On my GP They have heat extractors on the hood thay work very well as you can see right through them

On other cars I dont think there functional.
As far as the Buick portholes that the homeys put on everything here as well
