gxp vs m5 Hey guys. last night on the interstate i was playing around with some little black kid in his riced out honda (im surprised they can go 80). The tapshift let me throw my weight around a little more, but i had 4 ppl in the car and a full trunk, and running 87 oct. and 2 of these guys in my car where HUGE (300 lbs a piece) and the guy in my passenger seat said just leave this sh*tty honda so i floored it up until about 115 and let off and the honda was about 10 cars away and suddenly 4 halogen bulbs were coming my way fast as hell, so i floored it again and got up to 110 and he went by me like i was sitting still! he had to have been going at least 150 and in the small glimps i got at it, it looked like a BMW m5. Im just wondering, are those cars really that fast, or does having 2 300 pounders in the back a 200 pounder in the passenger and me (150) driving, makes that much of a difference power wise. it really surprised me that those m5s have that much top end power. what do u guys think
Ya they are really that fast, a 5.0-liter V10 that makes a maximum 500 hp at 7,750 rpm and 383 pound-feet of torque so top end they are going to fly. He probably wasn't even in the highest setting.
i was just driving ome from work with my friend and i like pulled up to a new m5, we were both goin maybe 50 and i look and the lady driving wasnt even paying attention to me and she was on the phone. I floored it and i guess she slipped and hit the gas a tiny bit and i couldnt pull away even at wot.

A lot of the Euro sedans also live for the high end. They have to rev up to higher RPMs to make their power, so off the line American muscle will get them at first, but once you hit highway speeds they'll breeze right by you. Some of those cars also have crazy stuff like 7 speed gearboxes. Yeah, a 7th gear, as if 6 wasn't enough.

I came up beside an M5 awhile back. We caught a light and i took off but he did not go until I got a couple of cars ahead. then he just blew by me. But hey 85,000 V10. 30,000 V8. I could put 10,000 in the car and kill an M5

Yeah, but you didn't! and prolly won't put that $10K in it to do so! Now I won't either! Good death though, let those over priced German cars know that they can barely hold off, a high to mid $20K AMERICAN car by merely a few thousand bucks! Sucks to them, if you really wanted to play!

yea but with the 500 hp motor also comes some of the best luxury options available today, and the fact of knowing you have almost the best dependability one can buy for the money..... all comes down to how deep you wanna dig
