I take it it's sold now. How does the true trac do on the street? I do mostly street driving with my car and can't decide between a 9" or 12 bolt...

From what I gatherd, the tru trac drives like stock on the street....have heard nothing but good stuff from it. My buddy had a 12bolt with a tru trac and I never heard a peep outta it. It was in a six speed car. The OP told me this one couldnt be heard in there.....I am sure I will hear some gear whine but thats tolerable for me....I will most likely go with a steeper gear anyway. I was leaning toward a nine inch because I am six speed.....if I were auto, I woulda went with a 12 bolt! Good luck with your choice, when I get this one in, I will let ya know how it does!

please do, I'm also a 6 speed and trying to find out what fits best for my driving style. I wouldn't mind taking it to the track some though, so I'm leaning towards a 9"

yep thats what I do....I drive my car on the street but like to take it to the track a few times per year!

I broke my ten bolt 3 times in three visits to the track....lol yep perfect score...I wasnt real sure if the twelve bolt would hold my abuse. Go 9" and not have to worry about the rear....lol now I will worry about the driveshaft and clutch!

Yeah the rearend is sold guys. And the tru-trac is great, i had it in this rear and also in my 408 silverado and it was wonderful. Drives like stock but never had to worry about the damn posi clutches not holding.
