98-02 Trans Am After Market Headunit Alpine 7864
SOLD
Here is a used Alpine 7864 headunit. I know this isn’t specifically an LSX part but it is custom made to completely replace the stock radio with absolutely no modifications. It will fit Trans Am’s and Firebirds but I don’t know if it will fit Camaros, so you will have to see if their radios have the same mounting brackets.
I made special heavy duty aluminum brackets to center the unit in the space where the old radio came out of. I also made a custom aluminum filler plate that goes behind the screen to cover the gaps. This plate was sanded to give it a dull aluminum finish but you could easily polish it to a high shine.
It also comes with a remote, a protecting case for the screen when you take it off, and a wiring harness that will directly plug into the factory one. All you need to do is take your old radio out and plug this one in and you will be playing music! You will also need to tie a power wire into the battery or fuse box.
I do not have the instruction manual but I will give you an internet site that you can view it from for free. The reviews on this HU are great. Brand new it cost over $400 in the stores. This was a big upgrade over my stock radio. Sound quality and bass were much better. Then I hooked up a 10” sub to it and man did it sound good. This HU also has really great screen colors and bright blue lights at night that will dim when you turn your headlights on.
Here are some of the features for the radio:
