If you are looking for a powerful amplifier that has enough juice to run a set of speakers and a sub, look no further than the P8004. Conservatively rated at 800W RMS, this amp can easily play at its rated power level without breaking a sweat.

I had this installed in my GTO but I sold that car and now I have some parts left over from it. This is a very powerful amp, it doesn't overheat easily and it alone has enough power to drive speakers and a sub. Rockford Fosgate amps are known for being "underrated" in power output. The 800 W RMS is more like 1000 W actual, so it can sustain 800 W easily.
