Default Competition ported heads.

I have a set of competition 241 heads ported by a guy in Texas with 15yrs experience, he's making over 600rwph with these identical heads on this 403. I bought them a few days ago before really looking into them and found out they won't work well on my 418cu motor. According to him they've been fully ported and polished and flow 310 @.500 intake and 255 @ .500 exhaust, quite impressive heads! These originally sold for $1500, they had 10,000 miles before being pulled and fully worked and have not been installed yet. These would be a great low budget head for a 402 or smaller engine, according to him they make ~10hp less than a comparable trickflow head. I'm hoping to get $800 shipped, as that is what I paid just a few days ago. Here's a pic of the exhaust port:

Do they come fully assembled? If so, what springs?

I'll have to get back to you on that, I would assume so since he didn't tell me different. I'll have them in my possession Tuesday.

Pm's replied too. Please keep in mind shipping is not included, I shipped a set of head 2 months ago and I believe it only cost $35 or $45 though UPS.

Not sure if he flowed them past 500 or not, that's just the number he gave me. He uses these similar heads on a S/C 403. The have not been milled at all. Stock valves.

Bump. No word from him yet, he may be on vacation. If someone is interested please let me know and I'll take them to a local head shop to be bench flow'd.

Yes, they'll come with the springs you see on them. I don't know if their brand new or not, what I was told is these heads have 10,000 miles when they were pulled off a Corvette. Yellow springs never came on 241 heads, so they may be brand new.
