LS7 7.0 Liter Engine Block 427 BARE BLOCK!
LS7 427 ENGINE BLOCK!
Up for auction is this 2008 Corvette LS7 7.0 Engine block. This block was removed from a 2008 Corvette Z06 vehicle with low miles on it.
Here are some specs from the GM website on the LS7 Block:
The LS7's competition-proven construction is exemplified in the cylinder block and reciprocating assembly, where an all-new aluminum block casting is used to provide room for its large, 104.8-mm-diameter (4.125-inch) cylinder bores. When assembled, Inside the cylinders, aluminum flat-top pistons deliver an 11.0:1 compression ratio. They're connected to a precision-balanced forged steel crankshaft with a 101.6-mm (4-inch) stroke via lightweight titanium connecting rods.
Other details of the cylinder block assembly include pressed-in cylinder sleeves and forged steel main bearing caps. Pressed-in cylinder sleeves are used to allow the large 104.8-mm bore while the six-bolt, doweled-in-place CNC-machined forged steel main caps offer the superior strength required at the LS7's power level. The smaller-displacement LS2 engine (101.6-mm bore x 92-mm stroke) has cast-in cylinder sleeves and powder metal main caps.
This vehicle was involved in an accident and small fire, and after sitting for a while at auctions there is some imperfection on the cylinder walls. This block has been professionally honed, however there is a slight surfacing that would requre a .005 cut would clean up it up perfectly. We only use PERFECT and factory spec'd engines here, so we are selling this to someone willing to do the extra work. Ask any and all questions before bidding or buying.
The block will ship on a small pallet via truck freight. The approximate cost will be inbetween 125-250. Please contact us for a quote
THIS BLOCK IS ON A NO RESERVE AUCTION, PLACE YOUR BIDS AND BE THE LUCKY WINNER!
Ebay Item number: 360190737103
Good Luck!

I see so many of these ls7's that have been flooded and rust after a fire and such accidents, its so upsetting.
Protocol for a z06 accident should be to remove the motor and properly store it lol
