Default Selling 383LT1 shortblock for those interested...

Just a heads up guys for those of you contemplating building a shortblock. I have an unassembled forged 383LT1 shortblock with high quality parts.

I am looking to sell this as a package. The components were assembled and run for 5k miles before I got them. All parts checked out fine. The short block is disassembled right now (accept the pistons are assembled to the rods):

4 bolt block completely machined (Aligned honed, notched, 4 bolt splayed conversion) etc. The cylinder bores have a little surface rust, it just needs a a quick clean up. i assume you would want that anyway so the cross hatching could be put in for the new rings.

Cola 3.75" forged Crank (1pc rear main seal). this crank is rated as one of the best cranks out there.

Eagle H Beam 5.7" forged rods

SRP -31cc Forged Pistons

Oliver Billet 4 bolt splayed main caps

ARP rod bolts and studs

The assembly is set up for a zero balanced flywheel. I will also throw in my bret bauer custom blower cam for an extra $250 (this cam is new, billet, and will make more power than the off the shelf blower cams). Specs are similar to a cc306, but more blower friendly. According to Bret Bauer this cam with ported stock castings, 383, and S trim @ 14.5psi should make ~680hp/700tq at the flywheel.

I am asking for:

$2200 shipped freight (thats gonna cost me ~200) for the components

$2450 with the cam

All you need is new bearings and rings and your all set. Just the machine work alone would cost 1000-1200 and the rotating assy is an easy $2k (thats over $3k). This is a great deal for someone who wants to build their own power adder motor.

Nice price. If you decide to part it out, I'd call dibs on that crank...
