CHEAP pistons and rods for 385 ci combo 8 pistons that were used in my 385 ci motor, 8 Lunati H bean rods as well. One rod spun a bearing so I would suggest replacing that one.
The pistons are Ross XL400 nitrous pistons and run about $650 new + about $175 for the not even broken in Helfire rings. The rods run about $600. The Psitons are designed to be used with a 6.125 rod on a stock crank that is offset ground to 3.72 stroke. If you buy these I will include the original build sheet so the machine shop can duplicate the combo.
These are for an iron block bored to 4.060. Not all iron blocks can be bored that much so you will need to purchase one that has either been sonic checked for thickness or already been bored to 4.060 and checked./ Call some engine shops and see about getting a block from someone already bored to 4.060. That will save hassle of trying to locate a good one.
So the basics of using these pistons will be 4.060 bore x 3.72 stroke (offset ground stock crank) and that makes 385 cubes. I used this setup to make 720 rwhp on juice. Its a cheap combo.
Here is the rundown of expected cost.
Prepped 6.0 iron block from an engine shop...$900
Stock crank offset ground...$500-600
replace or inspect the one rod...who knows
Bearings..$125
Plus my pistons and rods
I have no use for these any longer since I have the 415 motor.
I will let someone have these for $150 just to get them out of here.
I will take some pics later and post them.
So...Ross pistons with 2 cc valve relifes and pins and locks
Lunati H beam rods with one rod that had a spun bearing
Helfire rings that are gapped at .028 top ring and .030 secnd ring with less than 200 miles
$150 shipped!

Damn dude I have no need for these but I will take them.
For that price it is impossible to resist.

BTW you dont have to do a offset crank do you?
You could do a stock crank, and still get like 375 cubic inches right?
I will not see anything until tomorrow as I will be out all night.

You do have to offset grind the crank. Otherwise the piston will come out of the hole .100. Thats too far.
Engine Lab here in Tampa did a stock crank for me for approx $200...and he did a good job on it. So that would be $200 + the cost of a crank ...$150-$200 or so.

I will clean everything up and give them to Jeremy tommorrow. We are doing some dyno stuff on another car.
And yes...if you build a 385 ci motor around these pistons at the price I am selling...you could build a serious budget motor for cheap.
