Kounsy
ttt,,,, what are u doing with the car itself
Actually thought about selling the whole package, car and all...but after some deep thought I've got just too much invested in it from the 422 stroker, with all the best bolt on goodies, to the suspension pieces, brakes, interior, stereo, etc. to get what the car might bring...But...if someone came up to me with around $29g's I'd put it all back together for one lucky dog...In my opinon a damn good price for a car that can handle, stop and haul *** with the best of um...all in the comfort of a fully loaded "street" car.

So to answer your question...I'm not quite sure yet. But I have some ideas...

Okay ya'll heres the latest and greatest from Joe @ G&G...Joe found 2 pistons that needed to be replaced. I could go ahead and just replace the 2, have them re-coated, new rings but he felt the block really should be honed with a torque plate and go to a 4.110 bore with a brand new set of pistons. Well, I guess I could go the cheap route, replace the 2 pistons and it would be just fine but I've decided to go with Joe's advise and spend the extra $$ in order to sell someone a virtually brand new short block! Not sure what the 4.110 bore/4.100 stroke will make for final dispacement, probably around 424-425CI, but someone will have a very nice, very fast piece for the $$$...I'll let everyone that has contaced me know when it's available. I've already posted the asking price so it looks like I may be eating the extra cost of pistons, rings and additional machine work unless it's just way more than I expect, then I'll have to see about a mutual agreement with the buyer...

This thing is a monster, and the price will makes it a super deal....

I can't wait to see whats next....
What size shot was it on? A 300 shot?

I raced a Billy Glidden built 422 and was not all that impressed, but he wasn't spraying. His car was really strong from a dig because he had a power glide, 5000 rpm stall, and four link suspension; but from any race that started from a speed where I could hook up, 25 mph on up, it was no contest.

Dennis can comment on what size shot. I think it was a 200 shot. My understanding was the car made ~700+hp/850+tq on gas.

http://www.motorsporttech.com/custom.../djason01.html

As for a roll race, Dennis' car is a 6 spd. Racing a big stall auto on the street from a roll is no contest. It's like dropping 100 HP.

I promise you, the big single he raced was no slouch, and Dennis soundly beat him. But, the Supra was a strong car, just not strong enough... Of course when Gerald pilled up to a 300-400 shot on his Viper it changed the outcome....

Man this one is over and done.

That car is rolling and turning big numbers now. I think he used some of the parts and made it a serious FI set up. You sure missed out on a great deal though. Good luck to ya!
