Yeah, it's not 'for a 96', it's for your car only, unless you have the unlimited version, which I doubt you would be selling for $250.

More details needed, sounds like it is vin locked since it's 96 specific. The lt1 edit version is all years that I'd want.

Ill find out for sure. If it is I will see about getting it unlocked or redone for anyone elses. http://www.carputing.com/ When you look at the 96/97 order form, it doesn't ask for a vin- so I don't think it is locked to MY vin, just to ONE vin.

I'm pretty sure you have to send it back to them to get it reprogrammed for another pcm.

It might "mate" to the pcm on the first pcm download. Think the cable itself is what remebers the VIN.

That very well may be the case... If so, and you've never hooked up to your car, I'll take it. If not, let me know when and if you get it unlocked.

if its never been hooked up to a car then it can be used on any 96-97 LT1 car,and that price is good,a new one will get you for $450.

That is a very good price. OBD-II does NOT lock to a vehical until you up load a file. this mean put a file into a PCM. At that point it will want you to verify you want to lock it to a PCM

Anyone looking that is a good price.

For the rst of you TC now sell OBD-II equipment that ROCKS Edit to the core!
