I am building a 408 turbo car 2000 z this trans is built for power levels higher than I need I am thinkig t80 800 h.p. how bad would gas mileage suffer I like the idea of installin it and forgetin about it could get back with taller rear gear? not a dailly driver what rpm will that converter pull away from stop lite?thnks eric

 

There are a few local guys here with 400+ CI in mustangs on PG trans that run consistnetly in the 8's that still drive thier cars around town. As for gas mileage that would dpened on your tune and stoplight i would guess in the 3k range the car would move just fine.

 

if you are asking about gas mileage with an 800hp setup then you need to rethink what you're doing.

 

why cant gas mileage figure in with 8.5/1 this can be reg. unleaded best of both worlds who really needs 800hp on the street anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
