Default LS1 shortblock

I have a 98 shortblock I'm trying to sell. The motor has 90,000 miles on it. Shortblock only with no covers etc. It came out of a friends car so I know the history of the motor. He put a cam in it and had it out of time. Cranked the engine and it never fired as the pistons crashed all the valves. The pistons have small marks in the tops of them but they are perfectly ok. Also the crank threads for the balancer bolt were believed to be stripped. I screwed a stock bolt in it though and it seems to be fine. I think he tried to pull the balancer on with the stock bolt and pulled the first couple threads. A longer bolt such as the ARP should cure the problem. I'll take 800 bucks for it.

Will have pics tomorrow afternoon. Pickup only but will meet up to an hour from Bowling Green, Ky

Bump for a good running engine and honest seller. No piston slap, no oil consumption or oil pressure problems. Ran 38-40psi idle hot and 75-80psi WOT hot with Mobil 1.
