no the block, crank, and rods are all used but in great condition.

the block is already drilled and tapped for splayed caps.

383 Clearanced LT1 block w. Splayed Main Caps need minor overbore and hone $500

does the block need overbore and hone or the main caps need bore and hone??? What is the block's bore right now and what type of life did it have before disassembly....nitirous/FI???? Thanks, I currently have a completly stock 95 LT1 engine that I want to make a 383 with LE3 heads for my 73 bird but if I can save some money with good used parts and a block that will not meed the clearance work and 4 bol main cap work I may want to do that.

Do you remember the part number for the rods?

Is the crank cast or forged?

the mains are perfect, the block is 4.030 and can go max 4.060 could use a minor bore to clean it up.

it has been clearanced for a 3.75" stroke and the crank is Scat cast crank.... PN on the rods is LABE.... specs are here http://www.holley.com/LABE.asp

the motor lived a normal life, it made a few passes down the 1/4 and the 1/8 but never sprayed.
