I offered them to TS6 because he didn't lowball me, but hasn't replied yet. So if someone else wants them for the asking price let me know. And yes, you can pay w/ paypal.

You need to learn how to sell ****. You didn't "offer" me ****, I said "sold, I will take them", which (here in america anyway) means I agree to pay your asking price. I wasn't online last night to get your PM, I would have sent paypal this A.M. I could see if it took me days to respond to you, but it was barely 12 hours. I don't care that much, I can get them on ebay. I just think you should learn how things like this should be handled.

You've been here since 2004, I would of thought you have read the stickies at the top of the forum. If not, here's the one on calling dibs. Don't beat yourself up to bad over it...

Exclamation Calling "DIBS" on ads? READ HERE.
Due to some past issues with people replying to ads and calling "dibs", which is basically claiming all rights to a sale, we wish to post our policy on this subject.

"Calling dibs" isn't valid here. There are many reasons for this.

1. Seller has the ultimate right to sell to whoever he chooses, as well as the right to refuse to sell to someone for whatever reason.

2. Seller could have this item advertised in the regional forum, classified forum, and maybe 10 other websites and the local newspaper. Its impossible to claim "dibs" on a sale that you might not have seen first. You might be the first to reply in a thread, but that doesn't mean 10 people have already emailed the seller about it.

3. Calling "dibs" sometimes makes other potential buyers lose interest in the sale. This really sucks when the guy calling "dibs" is just a dreamer or is trying to lowball the seller, and ends up not buying the item. The other buyers will probably be long gone by then, and have bought similar items from someone else.

So, please keep in mind that "calling dibs" on something does NOT guarantee you the sale of the item. Therefore, do not waste your time calling dibs. Just send a PM or email to the seller and discuss things privately. Once your sale is 100% confirmed and you sent the funds, you may reply that it is sold to you.

Thanks.

Perhaps you didn't read my first post. I did not call "dibs", I said SOLD. If you have these for sale on another site thats another story and should have been mentioned in the ad, and that would be fine but you sent me a PM saying Paypal was fine for payment, so I would think if these had sold by another means you wouldn't have sent me the first PM. You sold them to someone else because I didn't respond to you at 10:00 P.M. last night, sorry I don't live online. I would have gladly sent the $$$ first thing this morning.

The only leg you have to stand on is the statement that the seller can sell to whomever he pleases, and that is true. Its just a shitty way to do business.

I'm not upset, but its just the principal. Business ethics, really. But hey, do what you want. I personally take pride in being fair and honest when selling or buying parts, but not everyone does things the same way.

Just thought I'd add-

I just bought a new set of these on ebay for $1 more than this guy was asking, including shipping. Turns out it wasn't that good of a deal huh?

Just in case others wanted a set of these too....
