Well, LS1MCSS if you sell it outright, I would still b interested in selling my 200-4r. If you are interested let me know. Also do you have any ideas to quickly/easily tell if its a dual patern. I'm assuming it has extra holes. R any on top, or bottom, easily findable w the tranny in?

It will have un-used bellhousing bolt holes if it's a dual pattern. It will have the bop pattern and the chevy pattern. Here is a link where you can see both patterns.

How much do you want for it?

I checked out bowtie-overdrive's site: http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/cata...SUBCAT&CATID=C
It looks like there pirces actually came down. I think mine would be similar to a level 2. I swear I paid more like $1500 (maybe that was because of torque converter, TV cable, TV Brackets, and lock up harness). I hadn't really thaught of selling until your post, but again want to go manual eventually. I guess I would rather trade, but if it is sold I'm thinking $1200 is fair (w everything). The TV brackets are custom built by bowtie and are on a holley 600 (new in 2000). Don't know if that would help you, but the lock up stuff should. Let me know what you think.

Sorry LS1MCSS, as far as I can tell my trans is NOT a dual pattern. I believe it is BOP only. I think it lacks the 2 highest bolt holes pictured in the link you sent me. I assume those are the ones needed for the chevy.

As a side note...why a 200-4r and not a 700-r4 or an 4L60E? Just curious.
I realize the Monte probly came w a 200-4r, is your goal to keep stock crosmember/driveshaft?

Also curious..is you LS1 still fuel injected or carbed? If injected the 4L60Ee would let you pick your shift points via reprogram. I'm sure you have your reasons..just interested in your project.

I was searching about bellhousings and this thread speaks of a bop-ls1 adapter: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ousing+pattern

A 200-4R will stand up to a lot of horsepower, if built correctly and the gear split is much better than a 700R4. I found a 200 within driving distance that is built for more hp than I will make. It comes with a 3K stall, shifter, and crossmember for a Monte Carlo. I will probably just go that route.
