the problem here is that you did come on a "model specific" website..which means that these people deal with these engines everyday. This also means that we can find,build, sell these motors at decent prices. Just like anything man, supply and demand. You are a old man hotrodder, you think **** im putting an ls1 in my t-bucket. You have no idea of what **** cost and you need an intake for your motor bc yours got busted during shipping. You think "ebay", and find an ls1 intake manifold for $125 buy it now. Thats alot of change so you call the local junkyard, they want to rip you off so they tell you 100 dollar bill come and get it. You stumble on this "model specific" website and there are 8888,000 people who will sell you one for 20 bucks shipped and a few like myself who have been known to just give **** like that away they will never use. AS far as people not having the money to buy it, there are people on here who have built cars that proably cost more than your house so I wouldnt go there. Moral of the story, Dont come on a ls1 website with thousands of people who eat sleep and breathe ls1's, who can build one in their sleep, and who have 8 sitting in there garage, and tell them this is the greatest deal of the century. rule of thumb: if the whole internet disagrees with you, odds are you are wrong. i'm not saying you can't get $3k for it but don't expect it to be a fast sale.

plus listing engines from a JY is a tad bit different, the majority of JY engines come with warrantees, some even have a core charge. are you offering a warrantee or core charge? i'm guessing you're not.

Every time they've posted "proof" that I'm "wrong", all they have proven is that my asking price is legitamate.

I'm in this for the long haul, and realize that a speedy sale will only be accomplished on a site where there are serious buyers, like e-bay. Most posters on this thread are the exact opposite of serious.



My warranty is as follows: If its not what I say it is, you get your money back. And I'm not asking $4500 like MOST of those listing are either.

the "few morons" here prolly wouldn't spend almost twice what an engine is really worth too.

look at this one, 2800 miles and you get a transmission, starter and computer, for $750 more than you are asking. and you could sell the starter for about $70, computer $100 and transmission for about $700 and you pretty much have what you are selling minus 47,200 miles for $2880
