83 pontiac 305 long block, 80k miles, $350, DFW Alright guys, my friend just put a new motor in his 83 Bonneville and has his old 305 long block sitting in the garage. He removed it assuming it was no good, ends up being his catalytic converter lol. He had installed a carb in place of the quadrajet intake and ran too rich for too long, ruined the cat. I don't know if the engine has any problems, but it is assumed it doesn't. Being sold AS-IS, and having 80,000 miles recommended rebuild before attempting to swap it into a car. it ran great until a few weeks after installing that carb, so its assumed the motors fine. Its $350, local pickup only here in Arlington, TX(not far from 360). We have an engine hoist at same house that the motor is at, so we can load it into a pickup, just bring something to set the motor on top of(makeshift pallet).
The sooner he sells this motor, the sooner I get my hoist back lol.
