So what else would these engines need before they would be ready to be run/dropped into a car?

They'd need the pan, pump, pickup, etc from your current engine...then all the topend...then the front drive accessories. It is just a basic short block.

Hi , I was wondering if you have any of these shortblocks left and if so , could you sell it for the same deal? It would be going in a 1993 4x4 chevy truck so it should be the same block correct. Please let me know ASAP. Thank you, Richard.

Will these blocks work if I used my LT1 accessories? How much would it be to have you build a LT1 383 stroker? any suggestions?

Short answer = no. It'd be more headache than it's worth IMO, with the trouble being the LT1 water pump not being belt driven....

We have a couple LT383 shortblocks left in stock (1 flattop and one dished) however.

Could you pm me some specs and a price on the LT383 shortblocks? I would like to know what you use for pistons, rods, and the crank.

Thanks, Aron

http://www.sdparts.com/catalog/crate...ssemblies.aspx

There's a page with both on it with the details of what's in the LT383's!
