props go out to this seller for being honest! I'm and the guy that raised the possible issues with the turbo. The turbo shaft could be moved a little side to side, which worried me. I'm new to forced induction, so I don't know how much movement is within spec. It's possible that it is normal and not a problem at all. Overall though, everything is in good shape ... heck I may still be interested if things check out ok or are delt with. Anyway, TTT for you, as I thought it was a very honest move to let everyone know about the chance of there being an issue instead of just trying to sell it off to someone without them realizing it.

Yeah he is going to have it checked out. It did not sound normal to me, but I do not know much about FI parts. He asked some buddys and they told him the same thing. I told him to just call STS because there is no reason it should be messed up, as it is pretty much brand new. I also am not sure on what could cause something like that and would be interested to see their explanation.

ss496, what do you mean? If you have questions about it, ask. I am not sure what you are getting at?

Thanks man. I will let you know if he gets them to fix this. I just hate you had to drive all the way up here to find out.

You will need to contact STS, but I doubt it since it is made for an f-body.

I told you, I cannot give you any fitment information. You need to call STS to find that out. This is for an f-body.

The turbo needs to be rebuilt.

Just a little FyI on turbos, side to side play is normal and nesassary for journal bearing turbos, anywhere from .018 to .025 (which feels like a lot) is normal as long as the wheels are not hitting the housing, but there should be little to no end play.

Thanks for the info

I do not know enough about turbos, one of the guys who came to look at it actually pointed it out.
