ac compressor well after checking things out on my car for three days i was convinced my compressor was bad so i picked up a used one. Soon to bench test mine it works perfect. 
but anyways the problem turned out the be a bad connector.
the compressor is out of a 98 z28. 75k miles. $140 picked up or 155 shipped.
