I found the SDM at a junkyard today so all I would need now is the dash piece. I never took one off on a car where the airbags were still intact. However, I'm pretty sure you can remove it. There's a wide, flat, strong material that's connected to the pad and on the other end is a metal strip that bolts to a metal rail under the dash. If you would be willing to separate that from the whole dash please let me know. Thanks for keeping up with all of these requests!
