Compatible with any brand of point, HEI or magnetic pick-up distributor and will work with any kind of crank trigger system, whether magnetic or Hall Effect. Because it's microprocessor-controlled and not affected by temperature and humidity, all functions are extremely accurate and consistent.

Each rev-limiting function is programmable within a range of 0 to 16,000 rpm, sufficiently broad coverage for practically any engine this side of Formula One. The severity of the ignition interruption is also programmable between random and sequential settings. The random pattern drops spark to all cylinders until the engine speed falls below the preset limit and is recommended for engines larger than 500ci or more than 700hp that may not respond quickly enough to a less drastic ignition cutoff. The sequential pattern drops ignition in a predetermined pattern, while not totally eliminating spark, until the engine speed falls to a safe level. The sequential pattern can be programmed for mild to aggressive spark interruption, all the while preventing the accumulation of unburned fuel, and is recommended for engines under 500ci or less than 700hp.

But multiple rev limiters are only part of the story. The Strip Annihilator’s fully programmable ignition timing curve lets you design your own custom advance curve in 500-rpm increments ranging from 500 to 9,500 rpm. No more vacuum canisters, no more juggling advance springs and weights, and no more soldering and brazing to come up with the right balance of initial and total spark advance. Just disable (lock out) your distributor’s vacuum and centrifugal advance mechanisms and then use the handheld Quickshot push-button programmer to create the perfect ignition advance curve for your particular engine’s needs.
